Cyprus 1

About

The “Cyprus 1” project is a fully equipped bath complex, combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative technologies. A key highlight of this project is the hammam, designed entirely in porcelain stoneware. Unlike classic hammams, this one features asymmetrical shapes and uniquely designed loungers, making it visually striking and truly one-of-a-kind.

This hammam is multifunctional: it can operate both as a traditional Turkish hammam and as a steam room or Roman-style bath. The total area of the complex is 170 m².

The steam room is finished with natural clay, which creates a unique microclimate. Next to it, there is a ice generator, allowing for contrast therapy. The clay steam room serves as a space for individual steaming rituals but can also be used for pre-warming before main bathing procedures.

A special plasticizer, developed by the Kharkiv Institute for Strategic Structure Protection, was used in this project. This innovative solution prevents cracking of the clay surface under high temperatures, making the technology long-lasting and highly effective.

Energy efficiency

The complex is designed with energy-saving solutions in mind. The use of porcelain stoneware in the hammam ensures durability, excellent heat retention, and moisture resistance, while the clay steam room naturally preserves heat, reducing energy consumption for heating.

Additionally, the ice generator plays a key role in contrast therapy, helping to optimize cooling efficiency and enhance the overall well-being of visitors.

Ecological materials

One of the standout features of this project is the use of natural clay in the steam room, applied using an ancient construction technique. This is a traditional clay plastering method, where the clay is applied over a wooden lath framework with straw reinforcement, ensuring natural humidity regulation and a comfortable atmosphere without synthetic materials.

The “Cyprus 1” project is a state-of-the-art bath complex that blends traditional and modern techniques. Exclusive design, energy-efficient solutions, and eco-friendly materials make it a truly unique space for relaxation and wellness.
